Wine lovers dating

From Plato and Aristophanes, to Hemmingway, Brigitte Bardot, and Bette Midler - you'll find you're in great company with these wine quotes and wine proverbs from throughout history!

Over the course of human history, wine has received its fair share of lauditory quotes, praise, almost even worship.

Thanks to technology and the internet, there's a dating site for everybody, including those who are passionate about the drinks made out of fermented grapes and fruits.

One of the latest of such sites to launch is Vinea Love, an international dating and networking site that specifically caters to wine fanatics.

"Nothing more excellent or valuable than wine was every granted by the gods to man." - Plato"God many only water, but man made wine." - Victor Hugo"Wine - it should be enjoyed for the benefits of the soul - and nothing more." - Peter Fiduccia, Wine Lover"Wine can be considered with good reason as the most healthful and hygenic of all beverages." - Louis Pasteur"The wine in the bottle does not quench thirst." - George Herbert"Sip, Swirl, Swallow! Ramos, wine lover"A person with increasing knowledge and sensory education may derive infinite enjoyment from wine." - Ernest Hemingway"There must be always wine and fellowship or we are truly lost." - Ann Fairbairn"Wine, it's in my veins and I can't get it out." - Burgess Meredith"To take wine into our mouths is to savor a droplet of the river of human history." - New York Times, 1967"Wine has been a part of civilized life for some seven thousand years.

It is the only beverage that feeds the body, soul and spirit of man and at the same time stimulates the mind..." - Robert Mondavi "Three be the things I shall never attain: envy, content and sufficient champagne." - Dorothy Parker"Wine speaks to all the senses: the eyes behold the color, tone, and shade; the nose, the bouquet, the fingers and lips caress the cool crystal; the ears delight in the subtle swishing of the liquid; the tongue rejoices in the reward of a rich harvest." - Mary Lou Posch, wine lover"Wine is the sort of alcoholic beverage that does not destroy but enriches life; does not distort but clairfies perspective; does not seduce except in a way worth humanly being seduced." - Bill St.

They can participate in discussions on the site's forums or message other members privately.

Quite often, the wine is diluted with either still or sparkling water – producing a drink known as gemišt (a combination of white wine and carbonated water), and bevanda (a combination of red wine and still water).

We have to admit, we are Wine Lovers, so it was only natural to start our own Wine Shop.

Vinea Love members can also join in meet-ups and other events curated and put on by Vinea Love.

  1. There are so many damn people you would think it’d be easier, but it’s not. What makes New York equally amazing and horrible for dating is the sheer number of options.

  2. We come up with “My ideal match is someone who loves family, has an opinion on current events, and can hold his own at a cocktail party on a Friday night, then chill with me on a lazy Saturday.” The final touch is a headline that sums up my approach to life, like a personal slogan. "It's like a slot machine—the majority of the time, you pull the lever and nothing happens, but every once in a while, there's a payoff." A deflating solution from one online dater: "Draw a face on it and send it back to him."Hoffman looks at my photos and nixes the corporate headshot and mirror selfie. Mirror selfies often give off an air of vanity.” She says the best profile shots feature the three Cs: color (vibrant shades, especially red, grab attention), context (pics that involve your hobbies, like travel or, say, clog dancing), and character (something quirky or funny, “like you in your Halloween costume”).
